Description

1830 is a railroad game set in the northeastern United States and southern Canada. You assume the identity of a railroad “Baron” and act as “President” of one or more Railroad Corporations. Your goal is to earn money. Money is earned mainly through owning shares of stock in the eight Railroad Corporations. Stock shares make money in two ways-they can provide ready cash via dividend payments, and they can increase in value. If you’re the single largest stockholder in a Railroad Corporation, you become its President and operate its railroad, ideally, but not necessarily, for the benefit of all stockholders. The game ends when either: 1. A Baron goes bankrupt; or 2. The Bank runs out of money. The winner is the wealthiest Baron at game end.

The computer players will always collude above the minimum setting, so I recommend playing with 2 or more humans who can collude back.

A very good computor version of a great board game. Highly recommend
You do need to know the rules to play so if its new to you read the manual

12/21/2010 6:47:00 AM - Angilochachi trevor i mean this with the utmost love....but your a dipshit. as he said there is a manual for almost all the games and i didn't even read the manual and i figured out the controls. i appreciate this site and the creators. its simple and easy to use and i've had no problems. i only wish i had money to contribute so the site could be better. everything has its faults but this is a really good site and the faults are few and far between.

12/18/2010 9:55:00 AM - FreeGameEmpire Choosing a different site is your right. I just want to clarify some things. Ratings are subjective by users, you can reverse it a little with your own votes. Most of the games has a full manual included ("Manual" button) even colonization has one.

I mean you have a walkthrough but no controls????????????? As soon as i find a better site to play colonization on im never coming back this site is frustrating and you wouldnt know a good game if it kicked u in the ass.... thank you and goodnight
