Antarctic Adventure

It is the southernmost part of the planet, Antarctica. You are a penguin trying to cross through the plane which practically is all ice all around. This was the exciting theme of the game Antarctic Adventure, released in the year 1983 by the famous game developers Konami Industries. Antarctic Adventure is a first person behind view action game. The penguin named Penta is the player character. Penta has to run through the ice lands from one research center to another which is located in quite a distance from each other. All of the research centers belong to different countries. Once Penta reaches at new research center his path will be obstructed by hungry seals that come out of holes in the ice along the way. And in some case just potholes that have ice cold water in them. Penta has to either jump over the holes or navigate his way around them. He cannot jump over the seals, hence has to go around in that case. The player can control the speed of Penta to some extent by making it slower when required. Along the way fishes will jump out of the water and can be eaten up and also flags that can be collected for extra points. Flashing flags that are rare will enable Penta to fly over obstacles for a given time. In Antarctic Adventure each level had to be crossed within a given amount of time and as levels increased the difficulty level increased proportionally.
