Description
Arya Vaiv is an arcade shooting game with a Sci-Fi theme. The game was published by Dongleware Verlags in 1994 on the DOS and Amiga platforms.
It is a single player game and can be played using the mouse, keyboard, or joystick.
The game offers 4 levels, further split into two parts. The player takes control of a spaceship equipped with basic equipment and ammunition.
The player needs to eliminate all enemies while avoiding enemy fire. To survive the levels, the player needs to collect powerups for speed and weapon
upgrades. Extra lives can also be collected, along with bonus points. The player is under attack from several enemies at the same time and must engage
in multiple kinds of battles on the sky as well as on the ground. There are various kinds of weaponry available to the enemies such as bombs, turrets,
various types of ships, lasers, etc. The unique feature of the game is, the player needs to shoot objects in a certain order in order to receive different
kinds of powerups and upgrades. The 4 levels in the game have a similar gameplay and are almost identical to each other, however, the second part of each
level has an added challenge in the form of a computer-generated Boss. To proceed to the next level, the player needs to defeat the powerful boss, which has
better technology and its huge size to its advantage. Arya Vaiv does not offer a lot of variety in terms of strategy or gameplay, but is extremely fast-paced
and demands quick reflexes, which is bound to keep players engaged and entertained for a long time.
