Description
Published by Electronic Arts Inc, Battle Stations is a naval/ watercraft combat game. It features 1 and 2 player games. The 1 player game can be played in two modes: Arcade or Campaign while the 2 player game is divided into Arcade and War game mode.
The game is played in 3rd person perspective. In the arcade mode, the players get to choose their ship and then have a ship battle that is one on one. There are 10 naval ranks starting from Ensign to final- Fleet Admiral Rank. In arcade mode, the players earn points on sinking opponent’s ship.
The Campaign mode features 50 missions. Each mission has objectives such as destroying enemy supply convoys, executing a full-scale assault on the opponent’s homeland. The winning player will then get to select the admiral against whom they can fight.
The player will have to play against 5 opposing admirals who have their own set of skill on waging war. In the War mode, two players play against each other in 26 different locations. The players can fight using 3 different strategies. One strategy is called war, where the objective is to eliminate every opponent’s ships. The second strategy is to capture the flag. In this strategy, the player has to fight and sink the opponent’s ship and return to their harbour by capturing the opponent’s flag. The third strategy is to capture the harbour.
The player has to drop marines who are then carried inside a troop transporter into the harbour of the opponent. These marines have to attack the harbour and capture it. Eight types of ships are available in this game. It includes destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers, patrol boats, submarines, troop transports and boat mines.
