Battle of the ears is an action game released in 1995 with fighting gameplay. The game published by Procryon was released for DOS platforms with a side-view perspective. The action game incorporates 2-D scrolling visuals and martial arts narrative.
Battle of the ears is set in 80,000 AD. In the mentioned year, humankind has pertained to its height of evolution and now, faces the threat of de-evolution. In their fright attempts to eliminate their corporeal forms, mutations are induced in the gene pool mistakenly. Due to the occurrence, only a few individuals retained sufficient brainpower to carry out scientific research. One amongst them was Temporus. He decided to portray God by setting up the greatest warriors in history together in a lavish tournament. The results of the tournament will decipher whether humankind is worth saving or not.
The objective of the player is to master the special skills and fighting style of one of the five characters who are available in the game.
The player has to be triumphant to win the tournament and ensure that the human race is worth saving. Each fighter features his own unique and special weaknesses, strength, and attack range. However, there is one common notion for all the players- all of them get only one chance to succeed.
In the game, Proto is a secret character that can fight the arcade mode by hitting the space key before the beginning of the first match. He can be selected in the versus mode by the second player.
