Description
Beat the house is a simulation published by Spirit of discovery and Bridge publications. It was released in 1992 for DOS and Windows platforms.
The simulation is played from a first-player top-down perspective and features turn-based pacing.
It features a point-and-select interface with gambling and casino gameplay. Furthermore, it has a flip-screen and fixed visuals.
Beat the house give the feeling of being in an actual casino. The player gets the overhead view and can wander in the casino. He gets to indulge
in roulette, video poker, slots, and blackjack to win online cash.
The game is meant for veterans, as well as beginners. It features seven of the most famous casino games - blackjack, craps, roulette, video poker,
and two types of slot machines. The game features tables and machines. If it belongs to tables, the player can interact with other people such as
opponents and dealers. Moreover, belonging to machines allows the player to interact only with which machines or slots.
Similar to a real-life casino, the player begins the game by depositing some amount of bankroll in the casino’s lobby. He has the liberty to move
from one game to the other at any instance. Also, the player can borrow some money from the bank if he runs into financial heck. Nonetheless, he
has to pay it back afterward. The game features a register that can keep records of a maximum of nine players at an instance. The record has
information on the expenditure of the player and when he played his last game.
