Description
Bicycle bridge is a strategy game that was published and developed by SWFTE International in 1992. The cards game was released for the DOS platform.
In Bicycle Bridge, the player attempts to score points by bidding or defeating the partnership bid of the opposition. At the end of the game, the side
which features the highest points win.
The player takes a card and places it at the center with its face up. When four cards are played in rotation, each from a different hand makes up a trick.
The initial card played in the trick is called a lead. The leader can play any card in the first turn. The remaining three have to function according to
the suit if possible. The player can play any card if he fails to follow the suit. The first trick or opening lead is made by the defender situated
at the left of the declarer.
When a specific side scores 100 points or more below the line, it wins the game. To depict victory, the scorekeeper makes a line across the sheet horizontally.
The line is made beneath the score that helped the player to win. It demarcates the beginning of a new game. A game can be made by numerous deals, by scoring
sixty and then 40, for instance. The player can also place a larger bid and earn 100 points or more from a single deal. Lesser scores aren’t carried to the
next game, and all the sides require 100 points to win the game.
