Big Blue Disk #52
Developed by:
Softdisk, Inc.
Softdisk was a publisher of "disk magazines" -- magazines distributed on disk, with programs, interviews, advertisements, etc. They were very popular from the 1980s until the mid 1990s, when the World Wide Web explosion changed the computer into a true consumer device. The programs were sometimes helpful utilities, but were mostly games you could play. Softdisk acted as a game publisher, and paid authors for their work.

Description
Each month, Big Blue Disk presents a wide range of practical, educational,
and entertaining features.
Many different kinds of games make up Fun'N Games: arcade-style games that
challenge your reflexes, strategy games that test your ability to think, and
adventure games that stretch the limits of your imagination.
Whether they are designed to organize a record collection or to provide
important financial information, programs in the Helpware section can make
your life more convenient.
The Picture This section is devoted to computer graphics - images designed
to be used with the popular Print Shop program; fine art exhibits; fascinating
animated programs.
In addition to helping students, the features in our Brainware section
provide interesting information about history, natural science - and yourself.
The Happy Hacker provides a wide range of programming aids such as disk
utilities and graphics tools - as well as in-depth explorations of various
technical topics.
Keep in mind, however, that Big Blue Disk publishes features which don't fit
in any category. Always make sure you've explored all that Big Blue Disk has to
offer.
