Description
In the distant, now-forgotten land of Joy there lived a wise and wizened
magician name Ginti. A littel eccentric, most thought, but harmless enough
- at least he kept the children amused with his conjuring tricks.
Gigti claimed to be a powerful sorcere, but no-one understood his ramblings,
let alone believed them. Until that day...
Following the storms and the plague and the death came the darkness - pure evil
in the form of Murk. As all but the last ray of sun left the land, and all hope
of life with it, the forest exploded, silently somehow, into a ball of lighter
more intense than the sun. Murk looked on with restrained awe at the featureless
figure shining brightly at its centre. It was Ginti, an ancient mystical tablet
of stone at his heart. Murk spoke decipherable sounds and for an instant light
and dark were one. A moment of nothing followed and ... and it was over, no sooner
than it had begun. Murk ruled the land, his demonstration of supreme
power forcing any surviving sorcerers to cower in their towers. The once joyous
people were condemned to an eternity of torment and forced to live off each other.
And yet there was still hope. It was rumoured that in the after- math of the
legandary battle, Ginti's tablet was shattered into several small pieces - no-one
knew how many, but it was said that when combined the power of the tablet would be
enough to overthrow Murk. If only someone could find the pieces and a sorcerer
capable of binding them..
You start the game outside your own tower on the south edge of the Land. You can
go forth from here and explore the world, killing the foes you meet and looking
for spell ingredients.
