Description
Boovie is an action game released in 1998 for DOS platforms by Future Games S.R.O. It features puzzle elements and platform gameplay with a side-view perspective.
Boovie is a remake of a game by ZX Spectrum in 1994 with the same title. In the game, there is a sequence of the single-screen level of the platform.
The levels require a series of actions that need to be done to progress through them. The action involves destroying blocks, maneuvering blocks around, avoiding
enemies, and shooting. To complete a level, the player needs to transport a particular brick to the tile which is marked with an arrow.
In the game, the main character is Boovie, whose role is portrayed by the player. He can move freely in the game. Instead of platforming in the game by just
jumping from one square to the other, the player can jump on any square on the screen. However, there must not be any hindrance along his path. It feels like
the player is floating in the air when he jumps from one square to the other.
The story of the game revolves around Boovie and his wife. The couples used to live happily in the outskirts of a city. A wealthy person decided to construct
a mansion in the neighborhood. When all the bricks were used for the construction, the person discovers that only one is required to complete the base.
Thus, he kidnaps Boovie’s wife and demands a brick as a ransom. He is set on a mission to rescue her.
