Description
Bubble blob is an action game featuring arcade and puzzle elements. It was released for DOS platforms in 1993. The game features fixed and flip-screen
visuals and is played from a side-view perspective.
In the German game Bubble blob, the objective of the player is to clear the playing field of blocks or bricks. The player can break the obstacles with
a ball that is controlled by him directly. The ball bounces up and down and the player can control only its right and left movement.
As the ball strikes a block one to two times, it breaks and gets removed. However, the ball can only break the block of the same color.
The ball changes color when it strikes specific blocks or rainbow blocks that change the color of the ball. When all the blocks at a particular level or
field are cleared, the player progresses to the next level.
Also, there are special blocks that are symbolized with a question mark. Striking these blocks will move the player to the next level. Usually,
these blocks give extra lives, reveal the exit, or remove walls. There are movable blocks that are symbolized with arrows.
They can be moved around by the balls only when the color of the balls matches its color. Furthermore, there are deadly blocks that take the life
of the player when hit.
The player has to reach the next level while breaking as many blocks as he can and scoring as much as possible. Also, he must avoid the hazardous blocks
that can impact his progress.
