Description
Bethesda Software works LLC converted burnout drag racing into a video game. Set your car to let loose as fast as a rocket launcher. Tear into the atmosphere with the unstoppable speed. After all, that is what drag racing is all about.
This game brings drag racing into gaming platforms with the same inspiration. Based on real-life racing mechanics, players get plenty of customization options. You can make tweaks in the engine, the transmission, the wing, the tires, the transmission, the suspension, and so much more. You can choose your favorite car and change everything to the smallest detail. Dozens of options avail players the opportunity to model their cars based on real scenarios. So if you’re already a fan of drag racing and have knowledge about it, this would be pretty easy for you.
However, where is the fun without a little, or a lot of competition? BURNOUT: CHAMPIONSHIP DRAG RACING puts players in the driver's seat to compete against 64 different AI-controlled cars. That’s a lot of competition to get players hooked, and that’s not all. Players can get familiar with the tuning using a time-based practice mode in bracket racing. There’s also a simple quick race for a one-and-done attempt, and a multiplayer mode to play with friends using the Internet.
With decent graphics that show good speed, sparks, tumble, and smoke effects, while the controls simulate real-life drag racing, this game is worth a shot. Furthermore, the 3D first-person perspective adds more realism to it. BURNOUT: CHAMPIONSHIP DRAG RACING is one for the history books, released in 1998 in the United States, it’s still available on DOS.
