Description
Crash is an action and adventure game with a Sci-Fi theme. The game was released worldwide in 1996 and runs on the DOS
platform. The game can incorporate several players depending on the platform. It can be played by up to two players on DOS,
and up to four on Windows, who would be up against several computer-generated opponents.
It provides a top-down perspective. Set in a dystopian world a thousand years in the future, the players need to compete
in government-organized races where there will only be one winner at the end. These races are organised as a means of
population control and, hence can be termed as a death-race. The players are equipped with hi-tech cars with missiles
and ammunition which they can use to eliminate opponents. however, one must also safeguard themselves from being killed
by enemy attacks and fatal accidents. The computer-generated players are not easy to beat and one must be alert at all
times to ward of the several attacks from the opponents. The game can be played using the keyboard or joystick, the
controls are displayed at the start of the game. The user can choose the number of players by changing the difficulty
level in the game. The goal is to reach the finish line and kill as many opponents as possible along the way.
Developed by Digital Nightmares, Crash is a fast-paced arcade-style game with cleverly designed action sequences capable
of keeping players glued to their seats. The winner of the race claims all the prize money and is declared champion.
