Walkthrough
Cabal uses either a trackball or joystick to control both the targetting cursor, and the commando. Moving the controller to the left moves both items left, and a right movement moves both items to the right. An upward or downward movement on the controller adjusts the vertical position of the cursor.
The cursor moves exactly as the controller is moved.
The commando is controlled according to priority (most important actions listed first):
* Quickly moving the controller will always cause the commando to move.
* Holding down the fire button will cause the commando to stand still and fire.
* Otherwise, the commando will move from side to side along with the controller.
Movements:
* A downward right or left movement causes the commando to roll. He can't be injured by bullets or shells during the roll, but is vulnerable once the roll completes.
* A quick right or left movement will causes running.
* A slow right or left movement causes walking toward the cursor.
== Gameplay ==
Commando has five levels, each composed of four stages and a boss fight.
Within each stage, you need to defeat a set amount of enemies. The number of enemies increases as the stage progresses, as does their aggressiveness. Once the quota is reached, the buildings within the area will collapse, allowing progress to the next stage.
The boss fight at the end of every fourth stage is a one-on-one combat between you and the target. It is a health meter shown at the bottom of the screen; this combat will reset if the only player or all players get killed at the same time.
