Description
Campaign II is a campaign based wargaming system for any post Second World War land conflict.
A war contains a number of campaigns, which in turn consist of a number of battles. This game
is about campaigns and their associated battles. You will take the side of one of the two
protagonists and the computer will take the opposing side. There are only two sides that are
used by the game, either Blue or Red.
The Blue icon is the NATO symbol and the Red icon is the Soviet Red Army star. The game allows
any country to fight on either sides.
Both sides in the campaign will have groupings of vehicles, which will move according to their
orders. When opposing groups clash, a battle will be initiated. You will then have the option
of playing the battle directly, or letting the computer-fast-forward through it, just telling
you the result. In this way, you can play the game at several levels. Either you can stay at the
campaign level, letting the battles take care of themselves, or you can use the system to
generate battles, and largely ignore the campaign aspects.
