Description
Champions of Zulula: Elite Edition is an expanded version of the previous version, Champions of Zulula,
developed by OSP Enr. The Elite edition was released in 1995 in the United States. It is an action game with
a fantasy theme and plays on the DOS platform.
The premise of the game is, that there is a city named Zulula, famous for its fighting tournaments.
Mighty contenders from far-off lands come to participate in the tournament and attain the glory that comes with
winning the championship. However, the city holds a dark secret of its own, and the championship is the perfect
opportunity for evil forces to come into play. The player needs to not only win the tournament but also uncover
the conspiracy and free the town of these evil forces.
The tournament is held in arenas that can hold up to four contenders at a time. All the characters can move
in four directions, and each character can jump, block his opponent and apply several types of attacks.
There are multiple game modes which include the championship mode, single bout, 20 monsters bach, and Boss fights.
The bosses in the game are very challenging to fight as their moves are quite difficult to anticipate.
The game also has very deep and quirky dialogues that aim to distract the player before fights. Overall,
Champions of Zulula: elite edition has superior hand-drawn graphics, large characters, and special effects such
as blood, shadows, etc that make the game more interesting and life-like.
