Description
Chess lovers!!! Welcome to Colossus Chess X, Ever get tired of people dismantling the game and scattering
chess pieces when they are about to lose? Or alleging someone cheated? Or want to play a quick game but
it’s not available? Well, rest assured because COLOSSUS CHESS X will solve all your problems.
Play chess from the comfort of a computer without any gimmicks or tricks. It’s real-life chess that also
offers a wide range of options.
From the fifty-move rule to the king-bishop-knight-mate, this game allows all types of moves and strategies.
It’s not some small attempt at a chess game with a few quirky moves, it’s the real deal, the whole package.
There’s no chess rule it doesn’t understand or accommodate, therefore players can play to their fill with as
many strategies as possible.
In addition, there are some nifty practicing tools like playing against the clock, which allows players a
time-based game to gauge how fast they can checkmate and use those skills in real-life games. The game also
offers a blindfold mode and various other options. The AI even learns player's tricks and will counter them
to keep things competitive.
COLOSSUS CHESS X is supported by decent performing graphics which offers options. Players can play a
standard chess game on a 2 dimension overhead perspective where colors are minimal and the chess pieces
quite pixelated. Or they can play from a 3D perspective with angles, deep colors, and the ability to rotate
the chessboard. This adds realism to the gameplay. Background music is also on board to make it more
interesting.
Colossus Chess X ticks all the boxes required for a good chess game. With decent graphics and a real-life
gameplay style, this 1988 game is worth a shot as it is also available on DOS, Atari ST, and Amiga.
