Comanche 2 is a DOS game released in the year 1995. It was developed by Novalogic, Inc. This is a first-person perspective game.
This is a helicopter, Vehicular Simulator Game. This is one of the not so good Simulator games of DOS. The helicopter is hard to control but they are quite easy to shoot when the enemy helicopter is in your sight. It is difficult to shoot them when they are above you.
In the game, there are a total of 60 missions to play. The starting missions are simple and easy to play but they get harder and harder as the time progresses. Some of these missions are so tough that they are next to impossible to beat. Instructions are given at the beginning of the mission but after that, there is no help whatsoever. No help from your wingman or help from your Homebase. An on-screen indicator which was used in the previous Rogue Squadron is also not added in this game. A map is a good indicator to show you where to go.
Most simulation games are known for their graphics and details. But this game is in deep lack of it. It is definitely hard to tell what is “high detail” and what is normal. The mission overview gives you the description of the enemy helicopter and another helicopter which is on your side but that’s it. If it is a night mission, you will be shooting your own teammates!
If you love helicopter simulators then play this game otherwise you can opt for other helicopter games also. Comanche 2 came has a huge disappointment as it lacks almost everything. The gameplay in itself is boring.
