Description
Creation is a real-time strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions. The trailer of the game was released in 1997 in the United States on the DOS platform.
However, the title was cancelled, and the full version was never released.
The game is set in the future where humans are trying to replicate Earth’s marine life on a distant moon. The player is entrusted with underwater patrol duty and
gets to drive a submarine deep in the sea and watch dolphins and other sea creatures from a close range. The goal is to do a visual survey of the terraforming
progress and report any irregularities to the authorities. At the start of the game, the player is informed that the submarine is a prototype and might malfunction
at times. The functionality is expected to improve by the time the submarine is launched into the market. The kelp green submarine has a range of 200 kilometres and
can move at a speed of 22mps. The player can use the keyboard to Rise, speed up, turn or stop the submarine. Apart from marine animals, the player also encounters
research bases and genetic laboratories. However, after a while, the player loses control of the submarine and ends up in an unknown location.
A tentacle appears in the window and other dangers lurk close by. The player needs to manoeuvre their way out of the situation and steer the submarine back to safety.
The submarine is equipped with high-power lasers and explosives. The player can also engage with the Dolphins and use their telepathic abilities to control machinery.
