Description
Die Sage von Nietoom is an adventure game with mystery elements, released in 1994. The game was created by German developers
and runs on the DOS platform. "Die Sage von Nietoom" translates to "The Legend of Nietoom" in English. The protagonist is a
young man named Marco who lives in a small town in the valley. He regularly visits his elderly grandfather Wando who lives
alone in a mansion in the mountains and is well-known for the art of story-telling. On his deathbed, Wando tells him the story
of a magical door into the legendary world of Nietoom. This door is hidden in the very same house Wando lives in, but he dies
before he can reveal any further information. Intrigued, Marco sets out on a quest to find these doors. Marco must examine
various rooms and hidden spaces to look for clues to make his way to the secret doors. He must also complete tasks, solve
mysteries, and overcome challenges to advance through the game. The graphics of the game are designed to create an eerie
environment and the ominous background score perfectly complements the theme of the game. The entire game takes place inside
Wando's mansion. However, the perspective changes in every room. A few of the puzzles can be quite challenging, and there are
many doors to be unlocked. The second half of the game occurs mostly in the cellar, which houses hidden rooms containing
deadly traps. The game focuses only on looking for the magical door, the legendary land of Nietoom is never revealed.
