Description
Disappearing Balls is a puzzle game released in 1993. It was developed by Oleg Demin and runs on the DOS platform.
The game features colorful balls on a grid-like gaming board, divided into equal squares. The objective is to arrange or
match the balls in the gaming board to make them disappear. The balls of the same color must be grouped together to make
them disappear. The balls can be grouped in lines, blocks, rings, or square formations. However, a set number of balls must
be aligned together to make them disappear. There are multiple levels in the game, each presenting new challenges and
requiring more strategic thinking. The difficulty level gradually increases as one progresses in the game.
The player needs to recognize patterns and plan their moves ahead to avoid getting stuck. The goal should be to make the
maximum number of balls disappear in a limited number of moves. The graphics of the game are colorful and one-dimensional,
typical of the games from the early 90s. Once the player selects a ball, it starts bouncing inside the square grid before
moving to the desired grid. It can be played using the keyboard or mouse; the controls are displayed at the bottom of the
screen. Top scores are displayed in the upper right corner. Sound effects are available which can be turned on or off as per
the player's preference. Overall, Disappearing Balls offers a simple yet engaging gaming experience that enhances the player's
problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
