Description

This is a full CD version of the Discworld game, which contains full speech and sound files. This version is for obvious reasons in English only. For more languages use the floppy version. Please be patient while downloading this release, it may take much more time depending on your internet connection speed and our server load.
A dragon has come to terrorize Ankh-Morpork, the largest city on the Discworld. It is up to the wizards of Unseen University to get rid of the dragon. You play Rincewind, a wizard with little, if any, magical ability. As the University’s worst wizard, you are also its most expendable, and so you are chosen to deal with the beast. You first task is to assemble a dragon locator. Once you have found the dragon, you discover that it has been summoned by an evil brotherhood so that you must stop them by traveling into the past. Still more, the dragon has to be dealt with, so your next task is to defeat the dragon and become a hero. Unfortunately, Rincewind is as good at cowardice as he is bad at magic, so that you must lend your wits to Rincewind so he may save the day.

12/16/2015 8:47:00 PM - dont know if anyone can help me out. i am playing in my laptop. to load a game i have to press F1 key, but this brings up my windows help screen and minimises the game screen and i cant figure out how to make it bigger again. the game window ends up being a couple of inches, obviously this makes playing difficult. any suggestions would be great, im not the best with technology

9/27/2015 4:46:00 PM - The game works fine when started with our applet (Play NOW! button). When downloaded and run on your own, we cannot guarantee, how you configure your Dosbox. However, with usual setup, the game should run if you mount the game folder as C: and run START.BAT. If not sure, start the game from our website.

5/4/2015 10:03:00 AM - Hi Simon, The sounds work fine in dosbox. I do not know, where you get the language selection but the game is preset to English including sounds. Do not try to install the game, just use START.BAT

8/9/2014 10:10:00 PM - BenS ScummVM is the proper way to play this game and Discworld2. Thy have done all the emulation to get it to work. On the PC you can even load some really nice soundfonts (midi backgroind sounds) some people have made for it.

7/5/2013 6:15:00 PM - REDY Yup! I did it like that - mount cdrom in dosbox in my PC, install it. For my android: Copy the installation folder, the info of CD, then mount the CD folder as a CDROM and play the game
