WELCOME
Dodgem is a computer game where you try to dodge blocks that
are heading towards you, while flying close to a planet's
surface and collecting valuable minerals. There are seven
levels, each progressing longer, and with more blocks.
Either one or two players can play Dodgem.
Dodgem has three modes of control- keyboard, joystick, and
mouse. The game has a novice and expert difficulty
selector. Also, there is sound control.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
In order to use Dodgem, your computer must be equipped with
the following:
- an EGA or VGA card, or a compatible card that will display
EGA graphics
- 256K or greater system memory
- MS-DOS version 2.00 or later
Dodgem supports these optional pieces of equipment:
- A Microsoft or compatible mouse
- A standard joystick.
STARTING DODGEM
To start Dodgem, start MS-DOS. Be sure to install your
mouse driver if you want to use a mouse with Dodgem. Insert
your Dodgem disk (Please make a backup copy first -- see
below), and log onto the disk drive that contains the Dodgem
disk. Type DODGEM at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
Dodgem should load.
Please note that Dodgem will not run on a write-protected
disk. Remove the write protection from your Dodgem disk.

Be sure to make a backup copy of Dodgem when you run it for
the first time.
AUTOMATIC SPEED SELECTION
When you start Dodgem for the first time, you will be told
that Dodgem has not been configured for your computer.
Simply press the ENTER key, and Dodgem will automatically
configure itself to run at the correct speed on your
computer.
IMPORTANT: If you run Dodgem on another computer, be sure
to select the CPU icon on the top of the screen, so that
Dodgem will reconfigure itself.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE
Dodgem version 1.00 is a Shareware product. That means that
you are encouraged to freely make copies of Dodgem 1.00 and
pass them on to friends for their evaluation on a non-profit
basis. Dodgem 1.00 must be distributed in its original un-
modified form. Dodgem 1.00 may be distributed by any
Shareware distributors or electronic bulletin boards, as
long as the distributor collects no more than $10.00 for
duplication.

express or implied warranties whatsoever. BOCC Software
shall not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential

COPYING DODGEM 1.00
Dodgem version 1.00 is a Shareware product, and you are
encouraged to copy Dodgem freely pass the copies on to
friends for their evaluation. Here is how to make a copy of
Dodgem.
1. Load DOS so that you see the DOS prompt. Insert DODGEM
into your A: drive.
2. If you have two disk drives, insert a blank, formatted
disk into the B: drive. Otherwise, have a blank, formatted
disk handy.
3. Type COPY DODGEM.EXE A: B: and press ENTER. If any
messages appear to insert another disk, insert your blank
disk. Then, re-insert your Dodgem disk

4. Now, type COPY DODGEM.DAT A: B: and press ENTER.
5. Finally, type COPY DODGEM.DOC A: B: and press ENTER.
RESETTING DODGEM
To clear the configuration and previous menu selections,
insert your Dodgem disk and type at the DOS prompt ERASE
DODGEM.CFG and press ENTER. Dodgem will create a new
configuration file the next time you start it.
To clear the high score list, type ERASE DODGEM.HIS and
press ENTER.
OTHER BOCC SOFTWARE PROGRAMS
BOCC Software has produced three programs so far. They are:
>> Mathtest- This is an educational math game designed to
make learning fun. Basic math problems from one to three
digits in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division may be solved. There are negative and positive
options, and an option for horizontal or vertical problems.
Nine delay settings may be chosen. When the user answers a
math problem correctly, a game appears. CGA, EGA, or VGA is
required. 256K is also required.
>> PC-Strobelight- Instead of going to the electronics store
to purchase a strobe light, why not spend a lot less and do
the same thing on your computer? It is possible with PC-
Strobelight. It is ideal for science projects, parties, or
just plain fun! CGA and 512K required.
>> Boatwar- Sink the ships cruising along the horizon before
they get you! There are four levels, where the ships get
faster. Can you save the day? CGA, EGA, or VGA required.
Also, 256K is required.
NOTE: An added BONUS-- PC-Strobelight and Boatwar come on
one disk. Only send $3.00 for both!
