Dragon Isles

Dragon Isles is an Action and strategy game with a fantasy theme. It was released in 1993 in Israel and works on the DOS platform. The game is set in the fictional land of Dragon Isles, comprised of a group of Islands and once home to a large group of people leading happy and prosperous lives. But life in the archipelago would come to a screeching halt when one day, they were attacked by a group of pirates, causing death and destruction. Only a few people were lucky enough to escape the islands. Several years later, a leader would rise from the handful of the population that managed to escape and return to the islands with a fleet to defeat the infiltrators and restore peace. The player assumes the role of the leader and will command an army of warriors and civilians.
The group must travel from island to island, defeating the enemies, gathering resources, and reinforcing troops. They must also undertake construction to bring back prosperity. Before moving on to the next campaign, the player must ensure all the enemy establishments have been completely wiped. The general oversees the whole operation from the back of a flying dragon, making military strategies and giving instructions as he goes. With the help of a map, the leader guides the troops through the islands, leading successful military campaigns and defeating the enemies. However, the leader can sometimes encounter the army-general of the rival group, also on the back of a dragon. The leader must fight off the enemy or get sent back to the base.
