Description
Originally developed for SNES, the game Empire Soccer 94 is a football game that is unlike games like Kick Off or Sensible Soccer. The game does a humorous take on a football game. It has a lot of comic touches and unreal moves. The game mostly has a top-view gameplay with an occasional close up of what is going on. The pitch used looks small compared to the players and the players have a huge range of motion like overhead kicks, fast 1-2 pass, trapping of the ball etc. that they can master during the game.
During a game of Empire Soccer 94, you can choose to assign every player with their own special moves. These moves are have unnatural abilities like making a power shot with extreme curves, super extreme dribbling that makes it look like the ball is sticking to your feet, Barging that pushes people out of the path etc.
The game can be played in three modes: World Cup, Exhibition, and Training mode. The world cup mode allows you to play in a multiplayer setting with a maximum of up to eight players. The exhibition match is for single players. The game also has action replay, these have VCR like controls.
Although the game is fun to play in a single player mode for a while, the best option is the use of the dual player option. This allows you and your game partners to take turns at the game.
