Description
Frontline is a strategy game published and developed by Cases Computer Simulations Ltd.
The game set in the time of historical events of World War II was released in 1990 for Amiga,
DOS, and Atari ST. The game set in several fronts of World War II is played from a top-down
perspective.
The squad-level strategic tactic features numerous scenarios of Monte Cassino in 1994,
Stalingrad I 1943, Guadacanal in 1942, Pegasus Bridge in 1944. Along with this, the game
includes two tutorial missions. The player takes command over an infantry squad which consists
of 10 men. He assigns leaders to the squads. Thus, the player must possess leadership skills
to be able to form the appropriate leaders. Also, the leadership skill of the player has a
direct impact on the morale of the squad. Moreover, succeeding in the game, the player also
assigns the support weapons (such as heavy machine guns) to the squads. The weapons not only
influence the firepower of the militants but also impacts their movement rate. The game also
includes crews possessing artillery pieces. Shell holes and walls also provide cover on
numerous battlefields.
The game possesses an engaging interface based on icon-driven menus. FrontLine can be played
with a mouse on Amiga and Atari ST platforms. However, a keyboard is required as the input
device for DOS platforms. Moreover, it is a single-player game and the player takes charge
of all the militants and crew. Keep your peace of mind while playing and master your
strategies.
