Description
Funny fruits is a puzzle game that was released in 1994 by L.K. Avalon. The puzzle game
featuring a hexagonal cell board is played from a top-down perspective with flip-screen
and fixed visuals. The gameplay consists of a puzzle in which the corresponding tiles
have to be matched.
The puzzle game consists of several colored lines as a result of the random arrangement
of different fruits. The player has to construct a straight line that consists of a minimum
of five identical fruits. As the player manages to construct the line of identical fruits,
the line disappears from the board. Progressively, as the line disappears, three new fruits
get randomly added to the gaming board. Furthermore, upon completion of a line,
juice has been prepared from the fruit whose line was created. The fruit juice fills a
100 ml test tube that is located at the right corner of the screen. With the successive
filling of tubes, the player gets to move to the next level.
Funny fruits is a single-player game and the fruits or pieces of tiles can be arranged
with the help of the mouse.
The challenge of the game arises due to the tiles that feature hexagonal shapes.
The hexagonal tiles are placed on a hexagonal board. Thus, the player can only form lines
of similar fruits vertically and diagonally. The 100 ml tube keeps filling with fruit juices
with each completion of the line, and once it gets completely filled, the player enters the
next stage.
