Description
Gadget: Lost in time is an action game that was published and developed by Electronic Sound
and Pictures. The game was released in 1993 for DOS and Amiga platforms. The game features
2S scrolling visuals and is played from a side-view perspective.
The game combines two genres- quiz and platform games. In Gadget: Lost in time, the player
plays the role of the main character who is known as ‘Gadget’. He invents the time machine
and uses it to travel in time. He goes back to the age when dinosaurs used to roam about
the planet. To use the time machine and return back in time, the player has to obtain a
special stone that will power the machine. The crystal will help the player to travel in time
or go forward to a major age.
To obtain the crystal, the player has to answer some of the questions given to him.
The questions are distributed across different levels in the game. The questions are in the
form of multiple-choice and the player needs to choose the right option. The questions usually
revolve around some object belonging to a particular era the player wishes to go to.
A specific question occurs at only one particular location and answering it correctly will
take the player to the successive location.
During his mission to answer the questions to find the crystal, the player encounters several
obstacles. He can jump on the enemies to kill them or eliminate them by throwing them away.
