Description
Gandalf is an action game that was published and developed by Marksoft in 1997 for DOS platforms.
The fantasy game can be played from a top-down perspective.
The action game is a side-scrolling maze. The central character of the game is an elf named
Gandalf. The sorcerer also referred to as Bilbo, is the villain of the game. The fiancée of the
player is kidnapped by the sorcerer. His fiancée is located at the end of the enormous maze.
The player sets himself on a mission to rescue his wife from the treacherous Bilbo.
The player goes through the maze to get to the other end of it and rescue his chosen one.
In his mission, the player carries four weapons- grenades, bombs, bows, and boomerang.
The player can locate extra missiles, keys to locked doors, and power-ups that increase the
firepower of weapons. Also, he can encounter several collapsing traps, hostile enemies,
throwing rocks catapults, walls blocking the passage in the maze, and fields that kill the player
when he steps on them.
Nonetheless, the player is determined to meet his chosen one and rescue him from the evil
sorcerer. He must find the way through the maze and locate his fiancée at the other end of the
maze. Though hurdles and obstacles (some who even possess the potential to cause serious
injuries or kill the player) are present on the way, the player has to reach the other end
strategically. The player can get past the obstacles and hurdles with the additional stuff
he gets in his way.
