Description
GoGo!! Uribyeol is an action and arcade shooting game that runs on DOS. It was released in 1993 by LG
Electronics Inc and developed by the now-defunct South Korean game developer, Danbi system. This game can be
played in both single-player and two-player modes. The game uses a single angle top-down, also known as overhead
or helicopter view.
To play the game, the player/players need to control and protect the airplanes by shooting down the enemies,
both flying and stationary. This is done by a basic three-way shot and spreading wave, which is considerably
more powerful. The airplanes have a life bar, so they can withstand several hits. There are bonuses that enhance
attacks, replenish the number of available uses of a special attack or change its type, restore health,
and so on. Adversaries are diverse, representing different forms of biological and mechanical species
of insects (dragonflies, moths, and so on); there are also turrets in the form of pyramids or other objects.
In some stages of the game, Bosses (computer-controlled enemies) are introduced which poses a greater challenge
to the players. Some stages of the game can only consist of Boss fights, and the player needs a greater level
of expertise to defeat them. The game is over when the life bar of the player-controlled aircraft reaches zero.
The graphics of GoGo!! Uribyeol is fairly simple compared to other games in the genre, but detailed, and there
is an implementation of background scrolling. The player can use the arrow keys for moving, and Alt + CTRL for
shooting.
