Description
Goody is a Spanish adventure game that was released in 1987 by Opera Soft S.A. It is available in both
Spanish and English.
In this game, the player assumes the role of thief, John Nelson Brainner Stravinsky, who also goes as Goody.
Goody is on his way to rob the Bank of Spain. In order to succeed in this endeavor, Goody must collect
the necessary tools, such as a torch, dynamite, drills, etc. On his way, he must explore buildings and
secret passageways and collect treasure to be able to buy the equipment he needs. He also needs to find
the access code to the vault of the bank. The game throws several challenges at him such as combat helicopters,
vipers, Gorillas, Kung-fu experts, weeping women, Ghosts, and even an evil moon. There is also the enterprising
policeman Rodriguez who will stop at nothing to foil Goody's plans. Goody is equipped with a ladder to reach high
places and clay bricks which he can throw at his adversaries to knock them out. The player can adjust the strength
by holding the button until the force meter at the bottom reaches the maximum limit, and releasing the button
to throw. The brick can be made to bounce off of walls and other surfaces a few times before crashing on the
ground. Each time Goody receives a setback from an enemy, he loses some of his energy, which he needs to recover
by drinking from the glasses of beer planted at each level. Goody also needs to watch his step for hazardous
objects like cement barrels or water bodies like lakes, stepping upon which will lead to death.
