GREEN BERET PARAMETERS
You may want to start Green Beret with the following (optional) parameters:
-nosound
enjoy the silence
-slow
if you think the game is running too slow on your computer, try
this parameter, it will reduce the frame rate. If you are playing
the game on a 386 machine, this is the standard mode
-fast
this is the standard mode unless you play the game on a 386
machine, see above. If you feel your 386 machine is capable, you
may try to use the "-fast" parameter. If the game appears to be in
"slow motion", your 386 machine is not capable of using the "-fast"
parameter. You will need to restart the game
example:
grnbrt.exe -nosound -fast
this will run the game without sound, in fast mode
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
386+
256KB VGA card
550KB base RAM
1024KB extended RAM
2MB hard drive space
104+ keyboard
MS-DOS
optional:
SoundBlaster compatible soundcard
Windows 9x
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TROUBLESHOOTING
question:
"where is the sound???"
answer:
you must set the BLASTER environment variable so Green Beret can
detect the settings of your soundcard. If you do not have a
soundcard, setting the BLASTER environment variable won't help
example:
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H7 P330 T6
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTES
The PC version of Green Beret is a remake of the original classic Commodore 64
(C64) game, if you'd like to play the original version, download a C64 emulator
and the C64 version of the game.
Sound samples from the original C64 game were recorded by Thomas Bolhuis.
This game is programmed for MS-DOS and it will run best under MS-DOS. Of course
it will still run in a MS-DOS prompt under Windows.
