Description
Hammer-Head is an action game with a Sci-fi theme. The game was released in Spain in 1992 on DOS, Armstrand CPC, and various other platforms.
The protagonist is a special agent with an exceptionally strong skull, hence the name Hammer-Head. The player takes control of Hammer-head and must defeat enemies
at every level. At the start of the game, Hammer-Head is parachuted into the level from where he starts his journey on foot. The primary weapon is the Protagonist’s
head through which the player needs to head bump every enemy they come across and win the level. Upon colliding with the enemies, Hammer-Head loses energy.
Every level needs to be completed within a stipulated time, displayed at the bottom of the screen. Energy is displayed in the form of a red bar just below the game display.
Apart from defeating enemies, there are gold coins and other objects to collect which can be used to acquire extra lives and buy more time or energy powerups at the end of
the level. There are multi-level platforms to get to and big coins to collect. There are also mini-companions the player can request in exchange for the items in their
possession. The Mini-companions can assist with completing the levels quicker and are controlled by the computer. Hammer-Head is a platform game and the player needs to jump
and hop to navigate. The score is displayed at the bottom left corner of the screen. Hammer-Head has an extremely vibrant color palette with impressive graphics and offers
great variety at every level. The game can be played by keyboard or by joystick.
