Description
Karateka is a reboot of a 80s game by the same name. The game is set in feudal Japan and is a game that has a story format. The game has three main characters with a quest to save a princess - Mariko from an evil feudal villain warlord Akuma. The game is a single storyline fight game in which the player has to fight one on one with opponents that are more and more difficult to defeat with every level. There are many smaller level bosses to be defeated before the main boss Akuma is faced. In Karateka the player has three lives; each life represents one of the three protagonists. The first one is the weakest and is the True love, the next one is called as the Monk and the last one is called as the Brute. The Brute from the third life of the player can easily defeat the boss Akuma, in such a case the game can easily be completed in a very short period of time. The challenge of the game is to win against the boss Akuma using the true love until the very end. This is very challenging as the first life, that of Princes Mariko's true love is not very powerful.
