Description
As the name suggests the laser squad is all about combating virtual enemies.
Published by Blade Software in the year between 1998 and 1992, designed by Julian Gollop, this game is all a 90s kid sought for.
Based on Turn-Based Tactic genre, it gives provision for both single and multi-player. Laser Squad is a war game where they are required to complete objectives like rescue or retrieve operations, killing all the virtual enemies by taking help of military tactics and also generous use of weaponary. The game is designed in such a way providing features like turn, move, shoot, pick up and so on.
There are seven scenarios in this game providing different level of squad allocation and setting. The Assassins, the Moonbase assault, Rescue from the Mines, the Cyber Hordes, Paradise Valley, the Stardrive, and the Laser Platoon are the seven different scenarios the player has to fight on.
It is often said that video games affects the morality of a person giving importance in killing enemies but in this case it is different. Apart from enhanced war gaming scenario, the game also aims at enhancing morale among the players. When a teammates gets succumbed to enemies attack, it creates panic among the squad and thus resulting in going out of control of the player.
This hard-core war game is no doubt addictive but at the same time it gives a lesson on morality to the players.
