Description
The old PC game, Lunar Explorer: A Space Flight Simulator was released in the year 1986 for DOS platforms. It was released by Electric Transit Company and features action and simulation. The computer game is played in real-time with the perspective of a first person. The game features futuristic and science fiction setting.
What is in the flight simulator game?
The main objective of the Lunar Explorer: A Space Flight Simulator is to hold command on the forces of inertial motion and gravity while maneuvering a Lunar Landing vehicle on the dangerous terrain. The flights can initiate at the landing pad of Tranquility base in a nearer approach in orbit around the moon or to the lunar base. The Lunar landing vehicle exposes the pilots of the moon to the hazards of incorrect navigation, improper consumption of fuel, and inaccurate maneuvering. If the fuel gets over before the player reaches his destination, the craft of the player will either get destroyed in the lunar surface or else, it will keep orbiting around the moon forever.
Getting assistance in the game
The actual time video game is played in three dimensions and the presents simulation of aviation from lunar orbit to the landing on the moon. The game can be played using the controls of a joystick or a keyboard. The cockpit window pictures the lunar scenario from the perspective of the pilot. The game provides a manual to the player. The manual helps the player to operate and play the game. Along with this, the manual describes the hypothetical plans of NASA for lunar mining operations and space station in much detail. Another section of the manual tells about the use of the game in the classroom.
