Rainbow Arts was a game publisher and developer founded in 1984 in Gütersloh, Germany. Early in the 80's they gathered many people from all over Germany, like Armin Gessert (founder of the company Spellbound), Thomas Hertzler (of Blue Byte), Chris Huelsbeck, Manfred Trenz, and others. All their games from that time were mainly made for the C64 and the Amiga and only very few were converted to the IBM-PC later on.

Description
Immerse yourself in the world of television with the game Mad TV. You get to be a producer for a television station, it can be Mad TV or any of the other two competing stations. Initially, you are just a normal guy sitting at home watching the telly. You come across a beautiful woman on the TV and you know she's the one. You will do anything to gain her attention. You join the TV station and set about growing the station, increasing your ratings and wealth, of course, that is not enough to impress your lady, you need to give her some special attention and love and win her love and not let her get stolen by the other two station producers.
Mad TV is a quirky interesting game with the realisitic representation of TV shows, advertisements, and actors on the shows. Everything has to be considered in the show and this makes the game very challenging and interesting. The game even includes expansion of the station and getting satellite coverage etc. You get to air real-life television shows on your TV station using actual IMDB data to make informed decisions. The only caveat to your station is that your love interests like shows that are not mainstream, and if you air her favorite shows the rating of your station is likely to come down so you need a really good strategy to keep your ratings up while keeping your love interest happy.
