Description
Millionaire is the Stock Market Simulation, which gives you a real-life stock market experience. Blue Chip Software developed this game. It was released in 1987. This game was released in MS-DOS.
The game is developed by keeping the stock exchange market in mind. The stocks are also based on stocks of real companies like Boeing, General Motors, HP and many more.
The game starts in the U.S stock market and giving you stocks worth 10,000$. At first, there are only 15 stocks. Companies from various sectors are available to buy stocks from.
There are 5 industries, each having three companies in total. Automobile, Oil & Gas, Computer, Aerospace, and Food Industries. The prices of the stock market keep changing. These changes are also based on real-life events like Economic, political and social situation. There is a news section in the game. The user has to study the news and then assert his buying decisions.
When your net worth increases, so do your rank. The game ranks a player according to their net worth. There are 5 ranks, i.e. Novice, Investor, Speculator, Professional, and Broker. Higher ranks unlock more features. In Novice, you can purchase stocks, but not on margin. Investors let you purchase stocks on margins. ‘Speculator’ lets you use a call option. When you reach Professional its lets you put option in the mix. This higher rank lets you use more investment opportunities.
This game also lets you control some events, which cannot be controlled in reality. The macroeconomic values like Tax rate, commission rate and the interest rate on loans can be changed and set according to the user. The aim of the game is to end the session with a higher net worth. The top rank of this game is a millionaire.
