Description
Learning about the solar system comes in this interesting little game designed to educate users
in a fun way. MISSION UFO – A SOLAR SYSTEM ODYSSEY gives players the role of surveillance agents
from the UFO division of NASA, who monitor UFO activity in space.
Knowing where they come from and where they are headed is your primary task. As they move from
one planet to another, you can track their precise location using hints from the control system.
This is an innovative way to test player's knowledge about planets. If you already know which
planet lies where and what it looks like, it will be a pretty easy game for you. As you keep
tracking the UFO and eventually catch up, the game displays information through the data bank
about the entity controlling the UFO, where it comes from, and how many light years difference
is it from the earth.
But be careful lest you run out of fuel. This key information gives players more insight into
planets and their relationship with the earth.
It’s not a graphically demanding game and it uses simple images, sounds, and commands to drive
the game, and the player has a first-person perspective. The Aliens you track are green little
cartoons with friendly faces, saying Hello and Hi whenever you catch up to them.
MISSION UFO – A SOLAR SYSTEM ODYSSEY a 1992 game, published by J and B Associates and released
on Dos was another innovative concept designed for kids to learn more about space. But with such
a fun way to learn about the solar system, even adults can benefit from it.
