From If It Moves, Shoot It!'s manual, circa 1989:
Emerald Software was founded in early 1988 with financial support from the Irish government. Based in Waterford (home of the world famous crystal), the company has rapidly established itself as a leading computer games development house in Europe.
The workforce includes 17 programmers and five graphic artists. Of course, being dedicated computer gamers, there is not much time for hobbies outside of work -- except for that other famous Irish pastime. Which means that the bars of Waterford hear rather more talk of computer games than they did before the arrival of Emerald Software!

Description
MOONWALKER is a decent conversion of Michael Jackson's famous musical movie into a game.
It follows the same story as the movie where you play Michael Jackson on his quest to save
the kids from the clutches of Mr. Big. Set against the backdrop of a world-class musician,
this game would be remiss if it didn’t incorporate some of Michael Jackson's signature styles,
dance, and gestures.
Within that context, players go through the game in 4 different levels and start the game
with 20 lives. The first two levels have no fighting, starting with a stealth-like mode where
you have to help Michael Jackson find a rabbit costume to become invisible form from the sight
of a swarm of his fans. Secondly, you must find a motorbike to get you to Michaelsville, by
picking orbs which will transform your motorbike into a stratus car that can leapfrog buildings.
In the third stage, the game begins packing some action. Here Michael Jackson has to fight against
Mr. Big's goons in Club 30.
Finally, the last round puts Micheal in an arena where the final takedown will occur against
Mr. Big and his stormtroopers.
MOONWALKER, developed in 1989 by Emerald Software Ltd. sports decent graphics that portray
Michael Jackson with some level of detail. Fans of the movie will recognize that most of the
locations in the game are inspired by the movie. Some of his famous songs also serve as soundtracks
in the background as the fighting goes on. It might be somewhat old and grainy, but anything with
the King of Pop is surely a hit.
