Description
To bring Sunday School into gaming platforms, MOSES MATCHUP offers a fun side of learning more about
the Bible. It follows a card-based procedure where on each card, there’s a biblical scripture focused
on the story of Prophet Moses.
The game is primarily multiplayer for 1-3 players. There are different types of cards like the main
playing cards, the hesed cards, and the wildcards.
The cards cover the entire table and Each player gets a turn where they can select two cards and flip
them over to see if they match. When flipped, each card details a biblical story about Prophet Moses.
In the end, whoever matches the most cards wins the game.
By playing MOSES MATCHUP, kids and religious people can learn about Prophet Moses, the law, the ten
commandments, Isreal, Aaron's rod, and many of the biblical stories revolving around that theme.
Dan Sharpe, the developer certainly found an innovative way to intersect religion with gaming, and as
such, it means the target audience for this game is kids.
Developed in the United States by the Godly Games in 1994, this game is another entry into a completely
different franchise of gaming the revolves around biblical anecdotes.
The graphics are elementary, showing each card flipped and arranged side by side, the messages are
clear, legible, and easy to remember, and the gameplay does not require much effort.
It utilizes player's memorizing skills to remember the cards and the message they carry, which is a
form of mental exercise.
