Description
Ninja Rabbits is a side-scrolling beat 'em up action game released in 1991, developed and published by the British studio Flair Software Ltd. for MS-DOS,
Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.
You play as a anthropomorphic, red-headband-wearing rabbit trained in martial arts who must save the environment from a corrupt, polluting corporation run by a
villainous boss. The game takes you through various urban and industrial locations, starting in city streets and descending into sewers, underground tunnels,
and toxic factory complexes.
Traditional 2D side-scrolling brawler / beat 'em up. You move left-to-right along a single plane fighting off enemy thugs, mutant rats, and rival martial
artists. Your moveset includes basic punches, kicks, and jump kicks. You have a health bar that depletes when taking damage from enemies or environmental
hazards (like dripping green toxic sludge and open manholes). Unlike arcade-heavy brawlers of the same era (like TMNT or Double Dragon), the combat in Ninja
Rabbits is relatively slow-paced and methodical, heavily relying on precise positioning to land hits without taking damage.
