Novastorm

Novastorm is an action and adventure video game based on a Sci-fi and futuristic theme. The game was developed and published by Psygnosis Limited in 1994 and ran on the DOS platform.
The premise is set several years in the future when humans have left Earth for greener pastures. Along with them, they took the earth’s ecosystem leaving the planet barren and stripped of its former glory. However, not all is well for the humans who are still on their way to their supposed paradise and become lazy and too dependent on computers. These computers have taken over their navigation systems and led them astray. Before they could take cognizance of the matter, the humans find themselves under attack by a mysterious alien force Scarab-X. One of the spacecraft governed by the humans and called Scavenger 4 squadron takes charge of repelling this attack and becomes the beacon of hope for the humans. The Scarab-X consists of computer-controlled fighters who will stop at nothing to gain control over the new world human have fought so hard to get to. Scavenger 4 squadron needs to eliminate these forces completely to ensure the survival of the human race. An intense battle between the two forces follows against dramatic backgrounds and loud noises. Both parties blast artillery and rain fire on each other while braving a tough landscape and pre-set obstacles. Powerful explosions rain fire on the planet as both forces try to gain control of it. Novastorm is alternatively known as Scavenger 4.
