Description
Old Time Baseball is a sports simulation released in 1995. Developed and published by Stormfront Studios, it runs on the DOS platform.
Old Time Baseball lets the player create their own baseball league and choose from a list of 12,000 players. The list includes every major league player from 1871 to 1981.
The player can make their own team with desired players or choose to play historical teams against each other. Old ballparks are also included in the game, with precise dimensions.
The Players can also select announcers and commentators of their own choice from a list of legendary network broadcasters and radio announcers.
There are three gaming modes available: Exhibition games, Stadium histories, and Fantasy Draft. Exhibition game mode allows the player to engage in friendly matches, the stadium history
mode lets the player witness any historical game and the Fantasy draft mode allows the player to mix and match players from any era without having to worry about the time paradox.
The goal is to win as many games as possible. The reward is witnessing a star-studded game with the most legendary baseball players of all time. Old Time Baseball uses the same engine
and graphics as the Tony La Russa Baseball series. An animated intro is presented at the start of the game which talks about the history of major league baseball and its cultural and
socio-economic significance. Old Time Baseball is a must-try for all Baseball fans who cannot stop reminiscing about the old-timey charm of the game and would like nothing better than
to witness some of the landmark moments in the world of Baseball.
