Description
Onesimus: A Quest for Freedom is an action genre game. It was released in 1992. The game is 2 dimensional. It was released for DOS.
This game is based on Jill saves the prince. This game is developed by epic games and has a fantasy theme.
The game is loosely based on the events of the New Testament. The game follows the story of Onesium, who is a slave and has escaped his master, Philemon. Philemon is chasing Onesium in the Slaves quarter and Onesium’s goal is to escape from there and reach Rome. There in Rome, Paul Apostle awaits the arrival of Onesium.
The game is a replica of the trilogy ‘’Jill of the Jungle”. There are 30 levels in the game. These 30 levels are composed of all the previous “Jill” games. The first and last levels are different. Onesium escapes the slave quarter by escaping big size guards and people walking on air. It is like a normal action game where you have to conserve your life until the level is over.
The gameplay of the game is not compromised and we can feel the essence of the trilogy of the game. The sound and graphics of the game have lived up to the expectation.
The developers of the game focused it on making a Christian game. The elements of the Bible are everywhere. In the trilogy, Jill was able to transform into an animal. In this game, that ability to transform has been taken away. The developers were too focused on making it as a “Christian” game for “Christians”. They could have improved so many things but ended up making a mix of action and Christian genre game.
