Description
Power Struggle is a strategy game, loosely based on the Cold War. It was released in 1988 and is available on DOS, Windows, Amiga,
and several other platforms. The game can be played by up to 2 players and can be controlled using the mouse and keyboard.
The player gets to participate in a fictional war as part being fought by two parties, classified as East and West. The player can
choose to side with either of the two forces and play against another player or a computer-generated opponent. The task is to win
over as many countries from the opposing side as possible. The countries belonging to the West are denoted in Green, while the ones
with the East are denoted in red. There are also some neutral countries, denoted by white, which aren't allied with either of the
two sides. To take over the countries, the players will need to employ different tactics such as battle, taking control of the
resources and supply chain, manipulation, and construction activities. Both opponents are presented with options from which they
must build a strategy to win over the countries. While taking adequate steps to conquer more territories, the players will also
need to protect their own territories from falling into the hands of the opponent. To stay ahead, the player must adapt their
strategies based on the actions of their opponent. One must be flexible and ready to change plans as per the situation during the
progression of the game. The player that wins the maximum number of countries within the stipulated time is declared the winner.
