Description
Quest for Al-Qa eda is a shooter game that was released in 2002 on the DOS platform. The game was developed and published by
Petrilla Entertainment. As the name suggests, the game is set in the post 9/11 world, where the hunt for Osama Bin Laden and
his terrorist group Al Qaeda is in full swing. The goal is to kill Bin Laden. The game has a Build engine and provides a
first-person perspective.
At the start of the game, the player is given the option to choose the user map. The game provides three user maps to choose
from. The game is set in the desert where The player needs to shoot all the enemies in sight in order to get to Bin Laden.
The enemies are armed and killing each of them can take several seconds of intense cross-firing.
There are also camels in the desert which can be killed if needed. The player is armed with a machine gun, grenades, and
daggers. As the game advances, a player is taken through underground tunnels, bunkers, and several structures built to host
terrorists and their supply of ammunition. The player needs to kill each of the terrorists on their way to reach the hideout
of Bin Laden. The quest is accompanied by ominous music with a middle eastern tune. The game has three levels.
Quest for Al-Qa eda has a very simple gameplay and a non-serious mocking tone. There are several jokes thrown along the way
to mock and poke fun at Al Qaeda and Bin Laden. It can be considered a joke game but is entertaining nonetheless.
