Description
Rage Against the Machine is an arcade shooter game that was released in Germany in 1997. The game runs on the DOS platform.
It provides a top-down and third-person perspective.
Rage Against the Machine is a variation of the classic shooter game, Bezerk. To play the game, the player needs to navigate
through a maze filled with enemies in the form of aliens and robots. The player is armed with a handgun, through which he
needs to kill as many enemies as possible. Scores are awarded for killing each enemy.
The enemies are also equipped with handguns and the player needs to carefully protect themself from enemy bullets.
There might be several enemies shooting at the same time and from all directions. However, the player has the advantage of
adjusting the game speed and fire speed to their convenience. The background is black with colorful barriers.
The Protagonist is colored green, while the enemies are blue or orange to make them easily identifiable. Colored barriers
inside the maze can be destroyed with ammunition, but one must be careful of the metal walls which are designed to deflect
bullets. Getting hit by an enemy's bullet or a deflected one will end the game. Each level has a clearly marked 'Exit' sign
which the player can head towards if they want to quit the level.
Rage Against the Machine is a generated-level game where game levels can be conjured up in real-time in the most
unpredictable fashion, adding to the excitement of the game. It is considered one of the superior generated level titles
of the time.
The instructions are quite simple:

- Pause with P (you can scoll with the cusor keys)
- Sound On/Off with S
