Description
Ravage is an arcade-style shooting game that was released in 1996. It has a sci-Fi and futuristic theme. The game was developed and
published by Alpha Helix Productions and runs on the DOS platform. It can be played by one or two players.
The player assumes the role of a spaceman whose fiance has been kidnapped by Thoran, an evil character who is also the master of
darkness. In order to save his fiance from the clutches of her kidnapper, the player sets out in his aircraft in search of her.
On the way he encounters several enemies in hi-tech spaceships and motherships, and gigantic bosses. The player's aircraft needs to
find it's way through a constant barrage of projectiles which can cause severe damage. The player also needs to destroy as many
enemy ships as possible to gain credits, which can come in handy while buying extra lives or additional equipment for the aircraft.
Shops are available between levels to upgrade the aircraft and buy reinforcements. The progress of the game can be saved at any
time and resumed whenever the player desires. There are 9 levels in the game, each a higher difficulty level than the previous.
The enemy ships and projectiles move in very high speed, and the player needs to have extremely strong reflexes to dodge them.
The game can be played with a keyboard, mouse or joystick. In the two-player mode, a player can team up with another player to
destroy the opponents in the same screen. The customizable controls make it easier for both players to control their aircrafts.
