Rebel 12 is an above-average chess-themed strategy game. It was released in 2004 on the DOS and Windows platforms. The game was
developed by Ed Schröder, the famous Dutch computer chess programmer. It was published and marketed by Lokasoft.
Rebel 12 was created using the Chess partner interface, and programmed with Winboard protocol, that works with Windows vista and
windows 7. The game features a salmon and beige chess board, instead of traditional white and black. The player assumes the role
of Rebel, who is an accomplished and one of the top chess players in the world. In Rebel 12, the Chess partner interface has been
further enhanced to provide detailed information about Rebel’s thinking process in an information window. This information window
displays information regarding average depth, Time usage, positions etc. The game is known to be one of the most superior chess
simulations, which incorporates the visualization and internal thinking process of a top-notch chess player. Rebel 12 is an
excellent opponent to seasoned chess player, featuring improved positional understanding and varied set of playing styles.

in chess. The game is programmed to mimic the playing styles of various grandmasters such as Bobby Fischer, Anatoli Karpov,
Vishwanathan Anand, Judith Polgar, Michael Tal and few others. One can play a total of over 100,000 games on Rebel 12 collectively.
